Position: Tour Guide and Beer Educator
Reports to: Tour and Retail Supervisor

Status: Part-time, Non-Exempt

Primary Responsibilities: The Tour Guide and Beer Educator is a brand ambassador of Schlafly Beer, giving our consumers a glance inside the inner workings of our breweries and providing an excellent educational experience in all things Schlafly Beer. These employees are responsible for ensuring customers have a positive experience during their tour and/or beer school and engaging customers to create a lasting positive connection to the Schlafly Beer brand. This position is also responsible for the all opening and closing duties and making sure the tours follow all safety protocol. Employees in this position must have a passion for public speaking, be excellent communicators, highly organized, and possess a strong understanding of all Schlafly Beer products. All employees in this position must be at least 21 years old.

Opening job duties:
• Count and separate tour tickets for the day
• Set-up the Crown Room Bar
• Put out tour sign and safety glasses
• Set up samples and entry table

Daily job duties
• Hand out tour tickets
• Answer customer questions
• Give tours and lead beer school classes following all Schlafly guidelines
• Track tour beer usage/visitor attendance
• Work the entrance tasting table (greet customers, hand out beer samples, talk about beer samples and answer customer questions, about beer, the brewery, etc)
• Assist with maintaining retail area during down time

Closing job duties
• Clean Crown Room Bar and seating area
• Put away tour signs and safety glasses
• Break down sampling table

Physical/Visual Activities or Demands:
Work requires constant standing and walking, occasional bending, reaching and squatting. Moderate physical demands requiring occasional manual lifting/moving of materials weighing up to 25 lbs. regularly. Must be able to move up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Position requires standing on concrete for six to eight hours per day.

Position Qualification Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Minimum two years' experience in both customer service and public speaking
